How to generate an AI image
1. Add a Photo Block
In the newsletter editor, click Add Content and select Photo.
2. Click “Generate with AI”
You’ll see an option labeled Generate with AI. Click it to open the image generator.
3. Type a Short Description
Describe what you’d like the image to show.
Example: Families and students sharing a Thanksgiving meal at school.
4. Choose a Style and Color Palette
Select a style (for example, illustration or realistic) and a color palette (bold, soft, or neutral) to match your newsletter’s theme.
5. Generate Your Images
Click the arrow (→) to generate. Smore will create several image options for you; this may take a few seconds while the AI works.
6. Select and Insert
Choose the image you like best, and it will be added directly to your newsletter.
Tips for Best Results
- Keep prompts short and specific (one sentence works best).
- Add helpful context (e.g., “students at a science fair” instead of “students”).
- If images don’t match your expectations, try adjusting the style or rephrasing your prompt.
Edit, Replace, or Delete
Once your AI-generated image appears in the newsletter, you can:
- Edit the image (crop, resize, or add filters) by hovering and clicking Edit.
- Replace the image by clicking Generate with AI again to create a new one.
- Delete it by clicking the red trash can icon in the top-right corner of the image.
