🪙 What are Email Credits?
When you send newsletters through Smore, you use Email Credits. Each email sent equals one Email Credit.
Example: Sending a newsletter to 100 recipients will use 100 Email Credits.
Your total Email Credits are refreshed at the start of each month for use in the upcoming month.
📌 Note: The Free Plan and Educator Plans have monthly limits on the number of Email Credits available.

📈 Over the Limit
If you’re on one of our Educator Plans, your account is limited by the number of Email Credits available each month.
Monthly Email Credit Limits:
- Educator Basic: up to 5,000 credits
- Educator Pro: up to 15,000 credits
- Educator Premium: up to 30,000 credits
- Educator Elite: up to 150,000 credits (contact our Support Team for details)
Important Notes:
- These plans do not limit the number of contacts you can add to your Mailing List.
- However, if you exceed your monthly Email Credit limit, you will not be able to send additional newsletters through Smore unless you upgrade to a plan with more credits.
-
If your contact list is larger than your available email credits, you won’t be able to email everyone.
For example, if you’re on the Educator Basic Plan (5,000 monthly credits) but have 5,100 contacts, you would only be able to email up to 5,000 recipients in that month. The remaining 100 would not receive your newsletter unless you upgrade your plan.
Q: What’s an example of how many times I can email my contacts in a month?
For example, if you’re on the Educator Basic Plan, you have 5,000 email credits per month. If your contact list has 5,000 people, you’ll only be able to send one newsletter to your full list during that month.
Q: Can unused Email Credits be carried over to the next month?
No. Email Credits do not roll over—any unused credits expire at the end of each month.
Q: If I email a listserv, how many Email Credits does it use?
Sending to a listserv uses only one Email Credit.
⚠️ However, keep in mind: if one recipient unsubscribes, the entire listserv will be unsubscribed from your emails.
