What is the Smore/Finalsite integration?

Smore and Finalsite have partnered to provide schools and districts with an improved way to create and deliver beautiful, engaging content.

With this integration, District and School Administrators can access the power of Smore directly inside the Finalsite Mass Notification System, making it easier than ever to design newsletters in Smore and send them to all of your stakeholders through Finalsite.

Access to the Smore interface via Finalsite’s COPE Interface
Ability to send Smore newsletters directly through Finalsite
10 Smore Newsletter Credits
Full newsletter editing capabilities with access to Educator backgrounds
No Smore branding on newsletters delivered through Finalsite
Unlimited email sends through Finalsite
Full Accessibility Features (ADA, COPPA, FERPA, WCAG 2.0 AA support)
Translation (available on the web version of your newsletter; translations are not applied to the emailed version)

What Features Are Not Included When Using Smore Through Finalsite?

When sending newsletters through Finalsite, a few Smore features are limited:

Email Report in Analytics
- If a newsletter is sent from Finalsite (instead of Smore), email analytics are limited to what is available within the Finalsite platform.
Duplicating Team Templates
- Team members cannot duplicate another member’s newsletter template when working inside Finalsite. This feature is only available when editing newsletters directly on the Smore website.

Smore & Finalsite Integration: Access and Editing

Q: Who has access to the Smore integration in Finalsite?

Only Finalsite users designated as District or School Administrators have access to the Smore integration.

Q: How many newsletters can I create through the Finalsite Free Trial?

The Special Finalsite/Smore Trial Plan includes 10 Newsletter Credits.

Each new newsletter created uses 1 credit.
The same newsletter can be reused and resent in Finalsite without using additional credits.
On the trial plan, newsletters can only be edited for up to four weeks after they are created.

Q: How do I edit newsletters through the integration?

To edit your newsletters:

Log in to your personal Smore account through the Smore website in a separate browser tab (outside of Finalsite).
