The Group Folders feature is currently available only to users on a Smore for Teams Account.
A Team Account enables teams to:
- Create newsletters
- Share templates
- Communicate consistently
We know collaboration is essential, and here at Smore, we use Group Folders ourselves to share projects and newsletters across teams.
With Group Folders, you can share and collaborate on newsletters with other members of the same group. Everyone in the group will have editor access to all newsletters in that folder.
This guide walks you through everything you need to know about using Group Folders.
🔎 How to Find a Group Folder

From the navigation bar to open your Newsletter tab.Â
- Scroll down to Shared Folders.
- Look for the folder named after your group. (Group folders are marked with body icons.)

âśš How to Add a Newsletter to a Group Folder
Option 1: From the Folder
- Finish and publish your newsletter, then return to your Newsletter page.
- Open the correct folder and click “Add Newsletters.” (Note: everyone in the folder has editor access, highlighted in yellow.)
- From the scrolling menu, check the newsletters you want to add, then click “Add Newsletter.”
Option 2: From the Newsletter
- Hover over the newsletter you want to add.
- Click “Options,” then select “Add to Folder.”
- Choose the correct folder from the dropdown menu.
- Click “Add to Folder” to confirm.

🗑️ How to Remove a Newsletter from a Group Folder
- Open your Group Folder. All newsletters in the folder will appear.
- Hover over the newsletter thumbnail, click “Options".
- Select “Remove from Folder.”
