Leaving a Team
Have you recently been removed from or chosen not to renew a Smore for Teams account?
No worries! We’ve got you covered! Below are answers to the most commonly asked questions.
Q: What happens if a Team Account is not renewed?
A: The Team Account will be archived. This means all premium and team features will be disabled for every member account.
Q: Will a user still be able to log in?
A: Yes. When you log in, you’ll see a pop-up message. If you’d like to continue using Smore to create and send beautiful newsletters, you can upgrade your account by clicking the purple button.
Q: What if I don’t want to upgrade? Can I still see my newsletters?
A: Yes. If you close the pop-up without clicking “Continue and Upgrade,” your account will remain archived.
You will still be able to view all newsletters you created or that were shared with you while part of the Team. However, all Team features, including creating or editing newsletters, will be disabled.
Q: What happens to the newsletters I created in the Team Account if I upgrade to an individual plan?
A: All newsletters you created while in the Team will be duplicated into your individual account.
These copies will be identical to the originals but saved as drafts. Drafts will not include any analytics from the original versions.
Newsletters created in Shared Folders will be duplicated into the account of the original owner.
Q: What happens to mailing lists created in the Team Account?
A: Any mailing lists you created as an individual will also be duplicated into your new individual account.
Q: How does the Owner or Admin of a Smore for Teams Plan remove a member?

Q: What happens to the newsletters I created while in the Team Account?
A: Each individual will receive duplicate copies of all newsletters they created while part of the Team.
These duplicates will be identical to the originals but saved as drafts. Drafts will not include any of the analytics data from the original copies.
Any newsletters created in Shared Folders will be duplicated into the account of the original owner.
Q: Can I be a member of more than one Smore for Teams Plan at the same time?
A: No. You can only belong to one Team at a time. If you’d like to join a new Team, you’ll need to ask the Owner or Admin of your current Team to remove you.
Once removed, your account will be free to join another Team.
Q: What happens if my account is removed from one Smore for Teams Plan and added to another?
A: All original newsletters and mailing lists created under the first Team plan will be moved to the Team Owner’s profile (in compliance with intellectual property laws).
Duplicate copies of your newsletters will then be automatically created in your account. These duplicates will be the same as the originals but saved as drafts.
Drafts will not include the analytics data from the original versions.
